Phonics and Reading

One aspect we ask all parents and carers to support us with is hearing your child read at home. The more reading they practise, the more fluent they will become, they more words they will know and their understand for many other subjects will improve.

Reading is the key to learning. It is used all across the curriculum and the understanding of vocabulary is essential.
